Do I have to sign a contract for a certain period?
No. You will not be bound to any long-term contract. Since our plans are payable one month in advance, we simply ask you to advise us 30 days in advance if you wish to cancel your service. There are no cancellation fees.
How long will it take to activate my Distributel Pager?
Once your order approved and the first payment is received, you will receive your Distributel Pager within two to four business days and will be able to access your service immediately.
Are the pagers offered by Distributel protected by a warranty?
Yes. The manufacturer’s warranty covers parts and labour for damage caused by normal use for a period of one (1) year. This warranty does not apply to aesthetic damage or to damage caused by customer abuse or negligence.
Troubleshooting:
You cannot receive messages on your pager?
Areas to check:
- Is the pager turned ON?
- Does your contact have the right pager number?
- Does the “battery low” symbol appear on the screen? (please see page 28 of the User’s Guide).
It is recommended to change the battery monthly and to use an alkaline AAA battery.
- Are you within the coverage area?
- Are you in an underground area or in a building that could block signal to the pager?
- Remove and then reinsert the battery. If the pager does not make a sound or vibrate, the battery should be changed or your pager may be defective.
If your pager is still not working after checking the above suggestions, then it has probably not been activated. Please contact a technician at our Technical Service for help.
